Mental Health for Leaders – The Foundations skills leaders to be able to recognise and support an employee experiencing a mental health problem. We focus on the intersection of HR and mental health.

We equip you with the answers to questions like:

  • What are the signs that an employee may be experiencing a mental health problem?
  • What do I do if an employee discloses a mental health problem?
  • What do I do if I think an employee has a mental health problem but they don’t see it?
  • What can go wrong when managing a mental health problem in the workplace and how do I avoid the pitfalls?
  • How do I look after myself when supporting an employee?
  • How do I create a mentally healthier workplace?

Key training outcomes:

  • Understanding of the risks and implications of poor mental health in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of employer responsibilities.
  • Recognition of common mental illnesses in the workplace.
  • Process for supporting, diffusing, de-escalating and managing a mental health situation.
